Hi! I'm Adam Douglass and I want to teach you the guitar!
With over 20 years of professional guitar instruction experience, ranging from one-on-one lessons to teaching large groups of over 30 people, I am confident we can work together to take your playing to the next level!
I am currently accepting students of all ages and all skill levels, from total beginners to advanced players.
Watch the video to learn a little bit more about me and what I can offer you, or read some testimonials from happy, long-time students.
Have you ever wanted to learn:
How to read music/notes? Scales and chords? Songwriting techniques?
How to play your favorite songs? Music theory? Improvisation? Jazz standards? Chord melodies and chord solos? Playing to chord changes? Reharmonization?
You can learn all of this, and more!
I teach electric, acoustic, slide, and left-handed methods, 6 string or 12 string.
Whether you want to learn jazz, rock, funk, blues, or country, I can teach it to you in a fun and focused learning environment.
Take lessons in my private Bushwick studio.
You don't need to bring a guitar when you come to my studio, as I have guitars and amps you can use for your lesson (but you do need to own or rent one for practicing at home!). My studio is conveniently located off of the G, M, J, and Z trains on the border of Bushwick and Bed-Stuy (G: Myrtle/Willoughby, J/M/Z: Myrtle/Broadway).
Still Not Sure?
Taking lessons with someone who you have not yet met can sometimes be intimidating, so before committing to a lesson or a package, I'd love to discuss your goals, concerns, playing style, abilities, or other questions that you may have about your musical journey.
Let's get to know each other!
